COVID-19 Temporary Closure
UPDATED: March 24th, 2020.
Hello to our Gymnastic Spectrum and Ninja Mania families-
We miss you all greatly and hope you and your families are well. Governor Lamont has issued an executive order for all gyms, sports, and fitness/recreation facilities to remain closed through April 30, 2020. With this new information, our original plan of re-opening on April 1st has now been updated to May 1st. Please check your email inbox for all updates.
We have added this page to answer any questions you may have/we receive. Please check back for more updates. Further questions can be emailed to email@example.com . Emails will be checked and responded to periodically during this time. We cannot wait to be back in the gym with everyone! Stay safe & well.
What are you offering for missed classes during the March 13th - March 31st gym closure?
We will be offering make-up classes for not only the missed classes during the March 13th – March 31st gym closure, but we will also offer make-ups for all missed classes during the month of March 2020.
I struggle to schedule a make-up class for my child/ren due to some class availability. How will I get a make-up class?
In effort to make up all classes missed during the month of March, we will be offering additional class times outside of our regularly scheduled classes for all programs. We understand some families attend classes on weekends and cannot make-up classes during the week so we will offer both Saturday and Sunday make-up class options.
My child was enrolled for April classes. Now that the gym must remain closed through April 30th, 2020, what happens next?
With our original plan of re-opening in April now pushed back to May, the March payment for April’s classes will automatically be applied to the new time of re-opening. Moving forward, all members will have their account placed on a temporary “freeze” during the duration of the mandated closure. This means there will be no further monthly tuition charges while we remain closed and every child who was enrolled in April classes has his/her spot saved in class when we re-open. We will reach out as our re-open date gets closer regarding this process and so we can properly staff classes, prepare lesson plans, etc. We will also have more information at that time regarding make-up class options for the missed March classes.
My child was supposed to attend the KNL Championship this weekend (3/14 & 3/15). Are there any future plans with this?
We are deeply saddened to postpone our Winter KNL championship this weekend but we will re-schedule this to a later date. At the time, we do not have an answer as to when but please allow us some time to look at the re-scheduling options for this and we will keep you informed as soon as we have any information.
Important Update: Temporary Closing
UPDATED: March 13th, 2020
To our Gymnastic Spectrum and Ninja Mania families-
Like many of you, we have become increasingly concerned with how the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation could affect our community. Please know that the health and well-being of our students, families and staff continues to be our top priority. Based on the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in Connecticut and surrounding areas, and the advice of public health officials and community leaders who are strongly urging social-distancing, we as a family have made a decision to temporarily close the gym effective tonight as of 8:00 PM, March 13, 2020. This closure will remain in effect through March 31, 2020. We are currently planning on re-opening April 1, 2020 but we will continue to monitor this on a daily basis and communicate any changes in a timely manner.
This was a very difficult decision for us to make, but we believe that, given the circumstances, temporarily closing is in the best interest of our Gymnastic Spectrum families and our local community. While we understand this will be an inconvenience for our families, we feel it is the responsible choice to make in doing our part to protect the health of our community at large in the face of the COVID-19 health crisis in our surrounding area and nation.
We remain optimistic and hopeful that as communities continue to work together, things will get back to normal sooner rather than later. We understand families have and will miss classes this month but at the time of re-opening we will offer additional classes to accommodate all needed make-ups from March absences. We will continue to monitor this on a daily basis and will provide updates as needed. For further information and continued updates, please check back to this page.
From our family to yours, thank you for your continued trust, support and understanding. We look forward to re-uniting with our Gymnastic Spectrum and Ninja Mania families as soon as possible and cannot wait to be back in the gym with our gymnasts and ninjas. We hope you all remain safe and healthy through this challenging time.
Kathy, Mike, Kyle and Kristi
